WORK EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Associate. WordPro Global Translations, Canada. 2007
As an associate of this newly established "Translation and Proofreading" company, he offers administrative and IT support. He equally provides assistance in the nuclear S&L area as a technical terminologist and proofreader.
Nuclear Safety Engineer. Hydro-Québec, Canada. 2001 to date.
For almost six years he has been working at the Nuclear Safety Analysis and Reliability Section in Montreal, in close contact with the Gentilly-2 (G2) nuclear power plant, in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. For the most part his work concerns two areas: containment safety analysis for Safety and Licensing (S&L) purposes, and management assistance of the Environmental Qualification (EQ) project.
Main responsibilities:
  • Containment Engineer (safety analysis required by the Canadian regulatory commission (CNSC) for the G2 power plant’s license)
  • Representative of the Analysis Section regarding the EQ project.
  • Representative of Hydro-Québec at CANDU Owners Group (COG) and Industry Standard Toolset (IST) international workshops.
  • S&L Containment Resource Person, providing technical assistance to the APR team (G2’s refurbishment pilot-study team).
Safety Engineer. AREVA, France. 1999-2000
Consultant at CEA-Cadarache (radioactive waste evacuation studies).
